Dog Boarding FAQ

What vaccinations does my dog need?
We require dogs to be current on their Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccination, or have an update given at least a week prior to boarding. Rabies vaccinations are required by law. Vaccinations for parvo, distemper, giardia etc., must be current according to the protocol you and your vet agree upon.

Can I pick up or drop off outside your regular hours?
To minimize interruptions and permit our staff to focus on the dogs in our care, we ask that you respect our scheduled pick up and drop off hours. Arrangements can be made for pick up and drop off outside our scheduled hours for an additional fee. We do not offer pick up or drop off after our closing time.

I have a young puppy, can I board her?
We love puppies and are happy to have them stay with us, provided they have finished their complete series of puppy vaccinations, including Rabies and Bordetella, at least a week prior to their stay with us.

My dog has never been confined. Where will she sleep?
All boarders sleep in our heated and air-conditioned bunkhouse. We use appropriately sized, individual wire crates, or 4x6 or 6x6 kennels. All dogs must be crate trained, and able to remain calm and quiet when confined.

Do I need to bring my dog’s food?
We prefer to keep your pal on her regular diet, so please bring your dog’s food, labeled with the amount to feed per meal. We feed twice a day, and can provide a midday meal for dogs who need it.

Will my dog get group play?
Dogs who are well socialized are put into groups based on size, personality and play style. Unneutered male dogs over 7 months old and females in heat are not allowed in group play.

How much play time will my dog get every day?
We believe play time and resting time go hand in hand. Dogs are rotated through our 3 outdoor play areas during the day, and given periodic rest breaks. By the end of the day, our boarders are ready to come in, eat dinner and relax.

My dog isn’t good with other dogs, can he still board with you?
At this time, we are not accepting dogs who do not get along with other unfamiliar dogs.

My dog needs daily medications, can you give them?
We are happy to administer oral medication for your dog. Please bring the medications clearly labeled with the required dosage, and any item (cheese, pills pockets) that you use to hide the medications in. There will be an additional fee if we are required to purchase food items to administer the medication. Please note: We cannot board dogs who require injectable medication.

Should I bring my dog’s bed?
We provide comfy blankets and bedding for our doggie guests. If you feel your dog would be more comfortable with a bed from home, you may bring it, as long as the the cover and insides are 100% machine washable.

Can I bring toys for my dog?
You are welcome to bring toys for your dog; however, we can’t guarantee their safe return home.

My dog can jump fences, will he be secure at your facility?
Our main play yards have 6-foot chain link fencing, and all dogs are supervised when outside. For the safety of the dogs in our care, we cannot accommodate dogs who are known fence jumpers or escape artists.
